Small-group care in Alliston for toddlers and preschoolers, led by one steady caregiver who knows your child's routines, sensitivities, meals, naps, and little wins. Parents get daily updates, clear policies, and a visit process built for trust before enrollment.
Built for cautious parents who want warmth, structure, and straight answers
High-converting daycare websites should reduce uncertainty fast. Parents need to know whether the program can fit their child, their schedule, their budget expectations, and their safety standards before they spend emotional energy on a tour.
Hi, I'm the heart behind Harmony Kids — often the hands, the hugs, and the storyteller in the middle of the day. I've spent years caring for young children, first as an Early Childhood Educator in school-based daycare programs, and now in a warm home setting right here in Alliston.
I started Harmony Kids because I believe the early years are sacred. In our home, children are never rushed through their days. They're gently encouraged to explore, to ask questions, to feel their feelings, and to trust that they are deeply welcomed and loved — every single morning, even the hard ones.
"My philosophy is simple: a calm, predictable day with a caregiver who truly knows your child is the foundation for everything that comes next."
From spirited toddlers to curious preschoolers, each day is planned with your child's age, temperament, and interests in mind — with plenty of room for unplanned wonder.
The year of big feelings and big discoveries. We support emerging independence with warm limits, lots of outdoor time, and language-rich play that grows their curiosity and confidence.
A gentle, joyful runway to kindergarten. Children lead their own projects, ask big questions, and build the social and early academic skills they'll carry into school.
Unhurried drop-offs, open-ended toys, and a quiet chat with each family.
Songs, weather, calendar, and a story that sparks the day's theme.
Fresh fruit and a wholesome bite to fuel a busy morning.
Art, sensory bins, building, literacy & math provocations — child-led.
Backyard play, nature walks, or the neighbourhood park — rain or shine.
A warm, balanced homemade meal — we talk about our mornings and our feelings.
Lullabies, soft blankets, and cozy naps. Older children enjoy quiet books.
Yogurt, fresh veggies with hummus, or homemade banana muffins.
Dance parties, cooperative games, and small group projects.
Books, puzzles, and calm reunions with a full parent update to close the day.
Harmony Kids is an independent, unlicensed home child care program. That means we're not overseen by a licensed agency — and it also means we choose every safety practice ourselves, because we believe parents deserve to know exactly what keeps their children safe in our home.
Transparent by choice, careful by nature
Important, honest disclosure: This child care program is not licensed by the Government of Ontario. Ontario law permits independent home child care providers like us to operate without a licence, within specific limits. We share this openly with every family, and we hold ourselves to many of the same standards licensed programs follow — because we believe that's what thoughtful care looks like.
Toys sanitized between uses. High-touch surfaces disinfected hourly. Hand-washing is our most-practiced life skill.

Locked entryways, safety gates, covered outlets, anchored furniture, and a fully fenced backyard.
Safe-sleep certified routines. Clear illness exclusion policy to protect every child in our care.
Detailed intake plans. Trained on epinephrine auto-injectors. Vegetarian & dairy-free options available.
Our program is inspired by Ontario's How Does Learning Happen? pedagogical framework. We see every child as competent, capable, and curious — and we design environments that invite them to make meaning through hands-on, child-led play.
Every child begins each day knowing they are expected, welcomed, and remembered here.
Emotional safety, healthy food, restful naps, and gross-motor play give children the steady base they need to learn.
Open-ended materials and uninterrupted play time invite deep, focused exploration — the root of all learning.
Art, music, drama, and rich conversation give children many "languages" to share who they are becoming.
Every meal and snack is prepared fresh in our kitchen, following Canada's Food Guide and drawing on the nutrition standards Ontario sets for licensed child care programs. Menus rotate weekly and celebrate the diverse cultural foods of our community.
We take allergies, intolerances, and family preferences seriously — from gluten-free to vegetarian to dairy-free, we work with each family to make sure every child is nourished safely and joyfully.
Parents do not only need cute photos. They need to know whether lunch was eaten, nap happened, the invoice is ready, pickup permission is current, tomorrow is a closed day, and the cough question has a clear answer. The portal keeps those answers in one quiet, thoughtful place.

This child care program is not licensed by the Government of Ontario. In Ontario, independent home child care providers are legally permitted to operate without a licence, as long as we follow specific rules on group size, age mix, and parent disclosure — all of which I follow closely.
"Unlicensed" simply means I operate independently rather than through a licensed home child care agency. It doesn't describe the quality of care — it describes the regulatory structure. Many excellent home providers in Ontario operate this way, and parents often prefer the consistency of one dedicated caregiver rather than an agency-managed rotation.
I'm transparent about my qualifications, safety practices, and routines, and you'll receive this disclosure in writing as part of enrollment. If you'd prefer licensed home care, I'm happy to point you toward reputable agencies in our area — finding the right fit matters more to me than filling a spot.
